Name in honor of Theodore Wirth who early in the 1900’s was superintendent of the Minneapolis Park system. His vision and drive to set aside a large, varied and connected areas proved totally worth it as MPLS has one of the best city park systems in the world with renowned access to the public. The greatest park in the system is named after him and is our neighbor…it’s our “home” park.
