The Roe Family Singers
Bonfire Music Group recording artists the Roe Family Singers are a Good-Time, Old-Time Hillbilly band from the tiny community of Kirkwood Hollow, MN. Led by wife & husband Kim and Quillan Roe, the band marries old-time sounds from barn-dances, fiddle pulls, and county fairs with the rock & roll passion of youth.
Featuring banjo, Autoharp, guitar, and Appalachian clogging, the band and family of fans have been regularly filling Minneapolis’ 331 Club every Monday night since 2005. They’ve shared the stage with Doc Watson, Ralph Stanley, Mike Seeger, Del McCoury, Jesse McReynolds, the Grascals, Jim Kweskin & Geoff Muldaur, Junior Brown, Asleep at the Wheel, and John McEuen & John Carter Cash. In 2011 the band was awarded the prestigious McKnight Fellowship for Performing Musicians; they won the title of “World’s Best Jug Band” twice, in 2010 & 2012 at the annual Battle of the Jug Bands; in 2012, won the Minnesota Duet Contest at the MN State Fair; in 2016 won the title of Entertainers of the Year from BMAI; in 2017, Kim won the clogging competition at the Old-Time Music & Ozark Heritage Festival, held in West Plains, MO; in 2018, won both Entertainers of the Year and Album of the Year from BMAI; and in 2019, won Best Band, Best Band Overall, and Entertainers of the Year from BMAI.
The Roe Family Singers mix original music and contemporary takes on old-time, traditional, and gospel tunes into one roiling & rollicking river of fresh yet familiar American music. Every performance raises a ruckus.

Emmy Woods
Emmy Woods (she/they) was born and raised on an old dirt* road in rural North Dakota and currently resides in Saint Paul, Minnesota. With hints of country, folk, and blues, Emmy’s songs showcase both her knack for storytelling, her strengths in musical artistry, and an impressive vocal range and ability. When asked to describe her sound in three words, Dr. Kyle Smith said, “Queer Farm Vibes… or maybe… Sad Boy Progressive.”
While Emmy has been writing songs for over 20 years, her first collection of songs, tristia bella, as well as her albums the manifold and delirium were not released until 2020. She has since formed a band, the Red Pine Ramblers, and continues to gain momentum with her genre bending sound.
Cause for Concern
Cause for Concern is a dynamic 3-piece rock band known for their originality and vibrant energy. Their music features a blend of groovy, blues-infused tracks with psychedelic, fuzzy elements and memorable hooks that leave a lasting impression.
Hailing from Minneapolis, MN, the band features Max on lead vocals and guitar, Saren on bass, and Jonathan on drums.
Boots & Needles
Boots & Needles combines the talents of Lauren Asheim and Dallas Cornell and features Old and New Country Blues, Traditional, and Rockabilly vibes. You may recognize Lauren from past bands including The Hula Peppers and Slippery People. She has also trod the boards as an actor and vocalist all over the Twin Cities including the Guthrie Theater, the History Theater, Mixed Precipitation and more. Dallas brings a wealth of musical skills and an eye for design to the duo and also plays with the Cornell Power Service. Known as the "human metronome" and a skilled sewing machinist, he is full of surprises. They aim to share their love of all things country and blues, sparkles and dirt and maybe a few more unexpected pairings along the way...
Turn Turn Turn
Turn Turn Turn is a trio who bonded over their mutual love of close harmony 60s and 70s country, folk, and pop music and formed an original Americana band. To create their distinctive sound, the band “turns” to the distant past of early American recorded music, “turns” again to that renaissance of the 1960s and 1970s, and finally “turns” again to the present looking forward.
Members Adam Levy (guitar, vocals), Savannah Smith (guitar, vocals) and Barb Brynstad (bass, vocals) are all mainstays of the Minnesota music scene and together craft an infectious, pop-infused Americana.
Even though Turn Turn Turn was born as a cover band, the group's original material – sweetheart alt-country folk-pop – quickly stole the spotlight.
Turn Turn Turn’s Laurel Canyon meets 70's-Nashville-cosmic soul vibe is layered with three-part harmonies that stitch the band’s musical tapestry together. Brynstad, Smith, and Levy have distinct voices, and the combination – a “fourth voice” – is greater than the sum of its parts.
The Shotgun Ragtime Band
The Shotgun Ragtime Band is Minneapolis' premiere Grateful Dead tribute band. If you know, you know.
Camile Baudoin
Camile Baudoin (say BO-dwan) has spent over 40 years as lead guitarist with the celebrated New Orleans Radiators, earning aberth in the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame. The Crescent City native dazzles with fiery solos and smooth grooves. On “This Old House,” Camile joins fellow Rads Frank Bua, Jr. and Reggie Scanlan, along with a host of guest stars, for a jukebox party.

Every year, on June 21st, when many cultures around the world are celebrating summer (or winter) solstice, France and many countries make music: people celebrate ''Fête de la musique'', also known in English as International Music Day. It's an annual music celebration to enjoy the longest day of the year. Musicians of every style and ability gather to perform for free in public spaces and parks. Aimed at all audiences, this day of celebration familiarizes people of all ages and all walks of life with a range of musical expressions.
This year, Alliance Française, the French Cultural Center in Minneapolis is partnering with Douala Soul Collective to bring this event to the Twin Cities and around the State of Minnesota! We're giving life to this event through venues and spaces with several musicians and bands performing in small and larger places, reunited under ONE BIG MULTI-LOCATION FESTIVAL, called ''Rhythms in the North''.
