Jamo's New Zealand pie is a unique food experience unlike nothing your taste buds have experienced before.
All of our pies are handmade from scratch and feature a delicious combination of savory meats in a rich homemade gravy, enclosed in a buttery flaky puff pastry. Our Menu features a range of different pies with fries and sausage rolls. We like to keep things simple and exceptional.
EL BURRITO MERCADO specializes in preparing fresh, delicious Mexican food for outdoor events. We have over ten years experience and we pride ourselves as one of Minnesotaβs most experienced Mexican vendors that can service small and large festivals and fairs.
We offer unique and delicious Mexican, traditional street & festival foods. Our menu varies from items such as mangos on a stick, burritos, tamales, elotes (Mexican Street Corn), and our trademarked food Walk a Taco (itβs a crispy fried flour tortilla in a cone shape filled with tasty taco salad). We can customize our menu and set up to fit any size event.

MidNord Empanadas was started by Phil Gaffney. Phil is a Minnesota native that spent many years learning life out of a food truck in New York City. He and his former business partner owned a Craft Service & Catering company which was contracted specifically for the film industry in New York City. Among many shows, notables include, Boardwalk Empire, Salt, Get Him to the Greek and Going the Distance.
New York is one of the food truck capitals of the world and while Phil wasnβt serving to the general public he still learned the trade and love of food truck operations and philosophies.
As soon as the laws regarding street food in MN changed, his goal was to get back to here and start his own truck. While his relationship with New York was strong, he loved Minnesota and it was home.
During his time in New York, he was taught how to make traditional Spanish empanadas by a Ecuadorian family and began hanging out with the βMinneApple in The Big Appleβ group (A group of MN to NY transplants that have MN themed get togethers and host a Minne-Apple Fair Day β http://minneappleinthebigapple.wordpress.com/about/) These events sparked the idea to combine his knowledge of empanadas, love of food trucks and Minnesota.
The idea, like other food trucks, is to do one item and do it well. Keeping the traditional Spanish style but also infuse some fun creative Minnesota-related empanadas.
The name MidNord came about as a affectionate slang term for Minnesota, Phil loves both Minnesota and empanadas & he hopes after you taste the empanadas you will love them too!

I have had so many people ask me why I decided to build a food truck, how I came up with the name and why 80βs rock? So I decided to answer these questions and more in our story.
In the beginningβ¦
Motley Crews Heavy Metal Grill came to life one day after reading an article about the food truck craze on Entrepreneur.com & It hit me like a bolt of lightning. With over 15 years in the restaurant industry and 15 years of marketing experience, a food truck would be my destiny!
Growing up in the 80βs, was absolutely awesome! I mean Like Totally Awesome! A timeless generation of quirky catch phrases, freaky fashion and music, oh yeah the music! 80βs rock is still alive and as strong as ever, many are still rocking today and local bands like Hairball keep this generation alive! An 80βs rock themed food truck it shall be, now I needed a name.
I knew that I did not want to brand myself as a certain type of food truck and that I wanted the freedom to change my menu with the season or for that matter the mood I was in. This would not be possible with βHot Dog or Philly stamped on the side of my truck. I mean who would think you could get an authentic Philly from a truck with a clown on the side? It was only a matter of time before that train of thought came to a head on collision with my love for music from the 80βs and POOF! Motley Crews Heavy Metal Grill was born!
Now I needed a menu and since I have never been a fan of fine dining and know that local dives like The Nook, Mattβs or even Cosettaβs have the best food in town, I knew this would be a challengeβ¦or would it? I made the decision to NOT make a decision and do it my way! You want a good Philly? You got it! Seafood Paella? Done! The last piece of the puzzle was in place. I will make Food That Rocks!
